The Austin Symphonic Band is a collection of amateur musicians which perform a variety of concerts for the Austin-area community, and for their own enjoyment. The ASB is funded from a variety of sources; the City of Austin (for which ASB is the 'official concert band'), corporations, individual contributors, and band members themselves. The conductor of the ASB is Richard Floyd, State Music Director of the (Texas) University Interscholastic League. The ASB currently has about 100 members. Their homepage includes reviews, news about the ASB, membership information, rehearsal schedules, board meetings, music selection, performance venues, the ASB Schedule, ASB Funding, an ASB Contact List, and an ASB Photo.
